1. How does getting a voice over work? Real simple. You call or email us and let us know what you want to do. That's it. Email scripts if you have them and we can give you a sample read and provide you with a 'for sure' price. Not sure where to start? Just call or email and we'll get the ball rolling.
2. How fast can I get my voice over? As quick as 15 minutes for short :30 voice overs in my voice. The longer the voice over the longer the turnaround time. But we work very hard and efficiently to keep things moving on our end, and yours. Please ask for more information.3. Can we hear what the product will sound like before we pay? Absolutely. Would you buy a car without driving it first? For new clients, we insist on sending you a sample read before any kind of commitment/payment is made. That way you know how it will sound.
4. Do you have other English voice talent available? - Yes we have a dozen or so other talent on our new website ProVoice.com that have passed numerous quality tests to ensure you are getting a great voice over for the money. Please go to ProVoice.com for pricing, policies and demos of the available talent.
5. What about Spanish voice talent? - Yes, we have a female Spanish voice over talent Eva. Please contact us for pricing for Spanish voices and/or translation services. Custom samples not available for Spanish talent for jobs under 5 minutes in length.
6. How about child voices? - We have a couple of kids around here. Madeline is one of them...girl..5-10 years old. Click on her name to hear how she sounds. Email for pricing and availability.
7. Can you produce my audio with effects and music? - Yes, we have a full digital multi-track audio production facility and can add music (from our licensed music library) and effects for about an extra $35 per :30 Only want music added? Just $10 per song (per :60) from our library (so a :30 read with music would be $40, music and effects would be $75).
8. What about other English male talent? In the rare instance that my voice is just not right for the job, I do have a few other male talent that I contract out with for work. Please contact me with the details you need.
9. I've got numerous smaller voice files such as station liners or phone promts I need, do you charge for each one? No. We add up all the material you have in an order and base the price that way. There may be an additional fee if you have, say, over 5 files per :30 that you need individually saved and formatted (this takes some time to do), but maybe only like $10 per :30
10. How do I know how long my script is? Make sure everything is spelled out as words (such as phone numbers written out as 'call three two three, etc') and figure about 80 words for a typical :30.
11. I have a cell phone that I need a professional greeting recorded on (or a phone system that doesn't allow for 'uploads' of audio files)...can you do that? Yes. We have a 'phone patch' which allows us to dial into your phone system and record the messages into the phone. It's better sounding quality than you holding the phone up to a computer speaker. It's $10 extra for each message we'd have to call and record into your phone system (takes some time to set levels, call in, etc). You would hear and approve the mp3 file before we record it over the phone. The quality of the message on your cell phone (or phone system) is determined by the amount of compression your cell provider uses. We send a broadcast quality mp3 (the one you hear/approve) into the phone line. After that, it's at the mercy of your cell provider.
12. How do you bill us and how do we pay? - For first time clients, we prefer to send a sample read before any commitment/payment is made. If approved, then you pay via Paypal, Google Checkout or credit card (credit card payments are processed through Paypal or Google Checkout), and we send you the full version (all this takes only minutes). You do not need a Paypal account to pay with a credit card. If you are part of a larger organization (cable company or advertising agency, etc), we can setup a regular invoice/check system once the business relationship has been established.
13. What do I get for that price? - You get at least 2 variations* of the read (For non produced :30's and 60:s), MP3 encoding (or whatever format file you need for your application), and space on our server if needed. *If we don't read the script in the desired 'tone' or 'feel' the first time (without any prior specific direction on how you want it read), you will get a second read no charge (possibly more..we aim to please). Any actual changes in the script will be treated like a 'client revision' and charged accordingly. If you give us specific instructions on how you want it read prior to recording and we read it that way, then you change your mind on how you want it read, there will probably be a cost to re-read.
14. Will the price stay that low? - It's not easy to say what will happen with new clients down the road.....but we can promise you this: If you jump on the VO bandwagon now, your rate will never increase. Our way of thanking those who have been trusting us with their voice overs over time.
15. Are you looking to add/hire other talent? I am always on the lookout for good ego free talent that is down to earth and easy to work with. If you have a home based studio, have a demo that YOU produced, have a quick turnaround time and would rather have more jobs that pay less vs few jobs that pay more, fire me an email.
